The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is adopting a comprehensive pheasant management plan, which aims to improve pheasant hunting in the state over the next five years. Game and Parks Deputy Director Tim McCoy says it’s the most extensive and broad-based pheasant plan the agency has implemented.
McCoy says the strategy calls for actions to improve and increase the amount of suitable hunting habitat.
McCoy says hunting is not only a management tool, but a tie that binds families and friends to the outdoors, as well as a driver of economies in communities across the state.
