For the first time in several years, the average Nebraska farm land price has gone down. U-N-L Extension Educator Jim Jansen says the just released Nebraska Farm Real Estate Market Survey report indicated a decline of about 3 percent.
Jansen says there were declines in most of the other agricultural land in the state.
Jansen says the recent lower crop prices were the cause of the slippage in average farmland value.
The Nebraska Farm Real Estate Market Survey has been conducted every year since 1978.
