The Nebraska Farmers Union Political Action Committee is endorsing Incumbent U.S. House member Brad Ashford in his re-election bid. Farmers Union President John Hansen says factors behind the decision to back Ashford rest with his being readily accessible, as well as his membership on the House Agriculture Committee.

He says with the writing of new farm legislation pending, it’s important to have someone on the Ag Committee to help represent their views.

Hansen says while they disagree with Ashford on trade, there are many other issues they agree with him on.

Hansen says they also endorsed Congressmen Adrian Smith and Jeff Fortenberry.
