Nebraska Farmers Union members will be holding their 106th state convention Friday and Saturday in Norfolk. President John Hansen says they’ll be honoring the Nebraska Rural Response Team for their efforts in aiding producers who suffered from weather challenges this year.

He says they’ll also have a panel talking about property taxes and K-12 educational funding problems in Nebraska.

Hansen says they’ll also iron out their policy and hold elections for director positions and the Presidency of their group.

Hansen has served as President since 1990. He says they’ll also be talking about industrial hemp, climate change as well as renewable energy at their convention.
