The Nebraska Farmers Union Political Action Committee has come out with their political endorsements for primary races in Nebraska.  Farmers Union President John Hansen says the committee based their decision on who to endorse on who’s running ,whether or not the race is contested, whether or not the candidates is a farmers union member and whether or not they support family agriculture. He says they have two clear choices in the Democrat primaries for Governor and U.S. Senate.

Hansen says in the races for U.S. House of Representatives they’re endorsing one incumbent and one challenger.

Hansen says they’re backing Ashford due to his experience and independent thinking. He says Ashford has run for public office as a Democrat, Republican and as an Independent.
