Nebraska farmers will be asked later this year to fill out the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s 2017 Ag Census questionnaire. Agricultural Statistics Board Chairman Joe Parsons says they are encouraging people to use technology to fill out the questionnaire. He says they have a streamlined version for those answering questions online.
Parsons says there will be several new questions on the census that will begin at the end of this year.
Paper copies are still available to those who prefer that method. Nearly 3 million producers in the U.S. are expected to take part. The Ag Census happens once every five years.
