U.S. District Court Judge Brian Morris has issued a federal court order blocking the Trump administration’s permit for construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline pending an environmental review. Nebraska farmer Art Tanderup whose operation near Neligh is in the path of the proposed pipeline is pleased with the ruling.

He says there have been several changes since the first environmental review of the pipeline was done so conducting a new review is important.

Tanderup says it’s also positive the preconstruction work TransCanada was doing has been halted.

Tanderup expects Trans Canada to appeal the District Court’s decision.
