Seward, Nebraska farmer, Alan Tiemann is the new chairman for U.S. Grains Council. Tiemann has worked for more than 35 years in production agriculture and has served as past chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board. He says a priority for the Grains Council is ethanol.
Tiemann says there are several opportunities in developing ethanol markets, including the by-products.
Tiemann says one of the biggest challenges confronting the Grains Council is dealing with public perception and misinformation.
Prior to being elected as Grains Council Chair, Tiemann served as a delegate while he serving on the Nebraska Corn Board, which he’s done for ten years.
