Nebraska Farmers Union members meet in Kearney Friday and Saturday for their state convention. President John Hansen says during their opening session Friday they’ll be hearing about climate change.
Hansen says Governor Dave Heineman will give the luncheon address on Friday. He says the afternoon session will focus on state education funding and health care with a discussion about the Affordable Care Act. He says on Saturday Farmers Union members will talk about national issues.
Hansen says they’ll also get an update on farm programs from State Farm Service Agency Director Dan Steinkruger.
