Nebraska Farm Group Pleased Court Ruling Upholds President’s Executive Order

A Federal Court Judge has rejected a challenge to President Trump’s Executive order requiring agencies to cut or revise two regulations for every new regulation written. Nebraska Farm Bureau National Affairs Coordinator Jordan Dux says his group is pleased with the ruling and having the executive order held up will reduce regulations faced by agriculture and businesses.

He’s hoping the Judge’s ruling will lead to more push back against unneeded regulations.

Dux says the two regulations most concerning to agriculture now is WOTUS and the upcoming rewrite of it as well as the CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act) Superfund rule.

The court challenge against the Executive Order was brought by Public Citizen, the Natural Resources Defense Council and Communication Workers of America.
