The Nebraska Farm Bureau wants the Biden administration to provide clarification on its 30 30 Climate Executive Order. Farm Bureau’s Director of National Affairs Jordan (dukes) Dux says their concern is that that order could detrimentally impact farmers and ranchers and scant details have been provided on it so far.

He says if the President’s Executive order is about adding funding to Title 2 conservation programs, that’s something that can be worked out. Dux says however that if it involves federal land acquisitions or perpetual easements then it’s not acceptable.

Dux says several county government agencies in Nebraska are in the process of approving resolutions opposing the 30 30 Climate Executive Order.

The 30 30 Climate Executive Order sets a goal of conserving at least 30 percent of lands and waters by 2030.
