This week Nebraska Farm Bureau members held a Washington D.C. virtual Fly In and spoke with members of Congress and federal officials. President Mark McHargue says their top tax concern centers around possible elimination of the stepped up basis and the rate of capital gains taxes.

He says they also put forward their thoughts on climate change and how agriculture needs to be treated with those policies.

McHargue says they also talked about the need for export markets and trade including China, developing a deal with the United Kingdom and possibly re-entering the TPP, now known as the CPTPP.

McHargue says they were well received by Congressional Staffers and were able to discuss their priorities in detail.
