The Nebraska Farm Bureau Board of Directors has set the organization’s policy priorities for 2019. President Steve Nelson says on the state level they include property tax relief and education funding.
He says other priorities include improving the quality and quantity of water available for farming and making sure regulations are workable for farmers and ranchers. Nelson says at the national level, trade tops the list.
Nelson says they’re also working to improve broadband access at both the national and state levels.
Nelson says property tax relief is the biggest challenge because it’s such a large and complex issue.
