The Nebraska Farm Bureau Board of Directors has set state and national policy priorities for 2020. President Steve Nelson says on the national level they’re focused on developing more export markets and achieving new trade deals.

He says on the state level they’re promoting livestock development, getting better broadband access and achieving workable property tax relief.

Nelson says the most likely progress will be on property tax relief in the state and trade deals at the national level.

Nelson says farm bureau wants more reasonable state and federal regulations and for the state legislature to address water quality and quantity issues.
