Nebraska Farm Bureau Priorities Tax And Regulatory Reform

jordan-dux-priorities-include-tax-and-regulatory-reform-cuts-for-website-1-5-2016 Despite 2016 being a Presidential election year, Nebraska Farm Bureau leaders are hoping Congress can get some key ag legislative work done.   Nebraska Farm Bureau National Affairs Coordinator Jordan (dukes) Dux says following a win on tax extender’s legislation at the end of 2015, there may be enough momentum to pass some type of tax reform yet this year.  He says it may be a tough sell, but they’re not ruling it out as it would be a big plus for agriculture.

 

He says Farm Bureau will lobby Congress to approve some regulatory reform measures in 2016.

 

Dux says they would also like Congress to reauthorize the Water Resources Development Act and the sooner the better.

 

He says while it’s often difficult to get much done in a Presidential election year they still remain optimistic.
