One Nebraska Farm Group is giving thumbs up to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh as a Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. Farm Bureau’s National Affairs Director Jordan Dux says Kavanaugh looks to be a positive choice.

He says Kavanaugh has great legal experience that would help him serving on the high court. Dux says his group wants to make sure Kavanaugh doesn’t make rulings that would expand the reach of the federal government.

Dux says his group looks forward to the confirmation process and hopes Congress takes it time and does a thorough review of Kavanaugh’s qualifications.

Kavanaugh has been serving as an Appeals Court Judge and was a former clerk for retiring Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy.
