The Nebraska Farm Bureau will kick of their 2021 annual meeting in Kearney on December 5 with a political forum featuring the state’s Republican Candidates for Governor. President MarK McHargue says they’ve gotten confirmation from at least 5 candidates with two more in the offing.

He says two of the major issues the candidates will have to deal with during questioning are taxes, mainly the property tax level in the state and needed possible solutions and what steps they support to grow Nebraska’s economy.

McHargue says another important the next Governor will have to deal with is trade and whoever is elected to will need to understand it and how it works.

The candidates who have been invited to participate so far include: Michael Connely, Charles W. Herbster, Senator Brett Lindstrom, Jim Pillen and Breland Ridenour.
