The Nebraska Farm Bureau’s Cattle Markets Task Force released its findings and policy recommendations this week following several meetings and discussions. Farm Bureau President Steve Nelson who served on the committee says they took a thorough look at cattle markets following the Tyson Holcomb meat packing plant fire and the impacts of the Covid 19 pandemic.

He says the task force’s report could lead to either future legislation or farm bureau policy. Nelson says the report’s data gives farm bureau members information they can use as they form new policy.

Nelson says their report not only includes recommendations but also information that could be used to help improve conditions in the cattle markets.

Nelson says more specific information on their recommendations and findings can be accessed by going to the Nebraska Farm Bureau’s website (at nefb.org)..
