The Nebraska Farm Bureau wants the State’s Congressional Delegation to support the Senate passed infrastructure bill. President Mark McHargue says the Senate version is better than what the President is proposing and not as expensive. He says while there are costs to the Senate version, the benefits for agriculture are much better.

He says the CORE bill invests $110 billion for U.S. roads and bridges, $65 billion for broadband, $55 billion in federal water infrastructure projects and $17.3 billion for ports and inland waterways.

McHargue says having a good infrastructure bill is imperative for agriculture and it also translates into a major economic measure for the entire country.

McHargue says the Senate’s CORE bill is designed to boost the resiliency of farms, ranches and rural communities
