Nebraska Extension Offering Land Link Program

A new Nebraska Extension program is available to help connect new and beginning farmers and ranchers with retiring landowners interested in transitioning their land to a new owner. UNL Extension Educator Allan Vyhnalek says they’re hoping by having this land link in place it’ll help keep younger producers in the business and boost the states’s rural economy.

He says when a traditional multi-generational farm or ranch exists, it can be easier to develop a plan that transitions the assets and management of that operation from one generation to the next.

Vyhnalek says if they’re interested land seekers and land owners should apply for the land link program by going to their website ( farm dot unl dot edu forward slash landlink.).

The Land Link program is administered by the extension Farm and Ranch Management team in the University’s Department of Agricultural Economics.
