Nebraska’s new state climatologist hopes to better serve clients.
Martha Shulski took on the job this week.
She is a faculty member of the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
The university also created a new State Climate Office with a small staff to assist Shulski..
Shulski says the office will not take a lead role in the debate over climate change…
Shulski says they expect to help the agriculture and natural resources sectors, but also provide data to lawyers and insurance adjusters and educate students of all ages.
