A plan for expanding Nebraska’s relationships abroad has been published by a council created by the governor last year.
The Strategic Plan for International Engagement lays out six strategies that Gov. Pete Ricketts and members of his council hope will expand Nebraska’s presence abroad. Ricketts says soybean exports alone accounted for around two billion dollars in trade last year. To this end, the plan calls for the creation and implementation of a trade mission schedule covering the next five years.
