Nebraska Ethanol Board Leader Pleased Administration Vows To Limit SREs In RFS

The Trump administration has decided to limit the small refinery exemptions under the Renewable Fuel Standard. That’s based on a January court ruling that the EPA overstepped its authority in granting three s-r-e-s for the 2016 compliance year. Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Roger Berry says that’s a very positive development.

He’s hoping EPA administrator Andrew Wheeler will follow through with the President’s commitment and thinks he will given the latest court decision.

Berry says his group intends to push the EPA and administration on the SRE issue.

The EPA is expected to apply the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling nationwide.
