Following over 40 years of service, Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Todd Sneller is retiring effective September 14. He says the most satisfaction he’s gained in serving the ethanol board is seeing the industry grow as much as it has over the years.

He says there’s a great future for the ethanol industry both in Nebraska and nationally and he had a chance to take part in a ceremony Tuesday at a major biofuel business.

Sneller says while he officially retires September 14, he’s not going away completely and will stay on to help with the transition of the new administrator and assist on some of the board’s projects.

Taking over as the new administrator on September 17 will be Sarah Thornton Caswell of Omaha who has extensive experience in the bio-industry sector and most recently served as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs for Edeniq, a technology firm serving the biofuels industry. Caswell has a law degree from the Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.
