Nebraska appears poised for strong economic growth this year with one factor possibly holding the state economy back.
Bureau of Business Research Director Eric Thompson with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln says the bureau has seen growth in the state’s leading economic indicator for two straight months. Thompson says the state economy had been struggling to gain traction.
Thompson with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln says agriculture had been spurring economic growth in Nebraska, but has hit a plateau.
Thompson says broad-based economic growth in Omaha and Lincoln is carrying the state economy now.
