Barry DeKay of Niobrara and Keith Kube of Crofton ended up one two in voting for the Nebraska legislatures District 40 primary election on Tuesday.
DeKay got 4426 votes, or just over thirty six percent, followed by Kube with 3176 or just under twenty six percent.
Mark Patefield of Laurel was in a close third with 3063 votes or just under twenty five percent.
Robert Johnston of Clearwater finished fourth with 1621 votes.
DeKay and Kube will face off for the seat in the November general election.
