Nebraska District 40 Candidates Differ on Medicaid Expansion

Voters in Nebraska next month will decide on a proposal to expand Medicaid. A petition drive put that on the ballot after the legislature failed over two years to take any action. If it is approved, the legislature will be involved in setting the rules and regulations.

District 40 Senate candidate Tim Gragert of Creighton says he needs to study the issue…

The federal government would fund up to ninety percent of the expansion cost. Gragert says that is still tax dollars…

Candidate Keith Kube (coo-bee) of Crofton says Nebraska would lose money overall with expansion….

Kube says there are already problems with disability programs…

Both men are running to replace Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill. He could not run again because of term limits.
