The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has unveiled their second annual business plan.  CEO Courtney Phillips says this year’s plan is titled “Good Life. Great Mission.  Helping People Live Better Lives”.   She says there are a number of key priority initiatives that will guide the department through the 2017 – 2018 fiscal year.

She says a pilot program started in Grand Island this past year is designed to reduce the need for SNAP benefits, by focusing on better paying jobs.  That program will expand into more areas of the state.

She says their goal is to better utilize their current resources to better customer service.
