The Nebraska Department of Agriculture has announced the creation of an International Grow Nebraska Agriculture Trade Team to work within the department. State Agriculture Director Steve Wellman says Ag Department Assistant Director Amelia Breinig will lead the team which will build on past trade successes.

He says the new team has members with experience working on trade issues including Mark Jagels, former Chairman of the U.S. Meat Export Federation.

Wellman says there are many trade opportunities the new trade team will concentrate on to increase exports of Nebraska’s ag commodities.

Wellman says the trade team will also help host the multiple delegations visiting Nebraska next year on reverse trade missions.
