Nebraska Death Penalty Opponents Organizing

It is eight-months until Nebraska voters decide whether to bring back the death penalty or keep it repealed.
“Retain a Just Nebraska” is organizing the effort to prevent executions.
Group member Tricia Moore did not want her son’s murderer to get the death penalty, because she says it does not help victims’ families.

State Senator Colby Coash says the system does not work and the state can’t even buy the needed drugs for an execution.

“Retain a Just Nebraska” organizers say this vote likely will gain national attention and they expect support from across the country.
