The USDA will again post its weekly crop condition report later this Monday afternoon.  Many officials believe due to the hot temperatures and lack of rainfall, this week’s crop condition report may show some deterioration.  Andy Jobman is a farmer from Gothenburg, Nebraska and is the president of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association.  He says the corn crop in his area has shown some stress due to the weather conditions, especially the dryland crops.  Jobman says land with sandy soils are seeing more severe drought conditions with crop deterioration.  Jobman says so far, there are no restrictions in place as to the limits irrigation water usage for his crops.
