Nebraska Counties Adding up the Damages

Overall damages to Nebraska from the blizzard and flooding is estimated at one point six billion dollars. Now counties are beginning to come up with their own costs. Cedar County for instance is looking at twenty-four million dollars in damage, while Knox County is at twelve million and counting.

Larry Dix, Executive Director of the Nebraska Association of County Officials, says while many local governments are counting on federal help, that comes with costs too…
