Nebraska Congressman Voted Against Homeland Security Funding Bill

Nebraska Congressman Adrian Smith isn’t happy with the action taken to fund Homeland Security without any concession from President Obama on immigration. But, he is shying away from criticizing the Speaker of the House.

Smith voted against the bill funding Homeland Security. He wanted a three-week funding extension so House and Senate negotiators could hammer out their differences.

Smith, a Republican, won’t criticize House Speaker John Boehner for relying on Democrats to pass the funding bill over objections from Republicans who wanted concessions on the President’s immigration executive order.

Smith calls this simply one issue out of many.
