Congress is ready to agree on a multi year transportation bill.
The bill would spend over three hundred billion dollars over the next six years, and replace a series of over thirty five short term extensions.
Nebraska Congressman Adrian Smith says he is supportive, but wants to see more details…..

Smith says there has been disagreement over how much to spend, and how to pay for it…..

Smith says a transportation bill should be a fundamental function of government….

The bill would shift federal funds to pay for it instead of raising the federal gas tax.
