Nebraska Cattlemen Association members will gather in Kearney December 4 through the 7 for their annual convention and trade show. Cattlemen’s Executive Director Pete McClymont says their major national issue discussion will revolve around trade.

He says the major trade deal their members are focusing on is a possible bilateral deal with Japan.

McClymont says their primary concern at the state level is addressing the rising problem of property taxes in Nebraska.

McClymont says during their business session they’ll choose a new slate of officers to lead the organization in the coming year. They’ll also hold their Cattlemen’s College December 4 and 5.
