Last week the Nebraska Cattlemen Association’s Political Action Committee gave its support for Republican Governor candidate Dr. Jim Pillen.  The cattle and beef industries account for more than $10 billion dollars for the Nebraska economy.  Pillen is a veterinarian and an owner of a hog operation.  Brenda Masek is the president of the Nebraska Cattlemen Association and chairperson of the Cattlemen’s Political Action Committee.  She says the state’s cattle producers recognize Pillen’s potential, and his ties to the state’s agricultural industry.  Pillen thanked the cattle producers for their support of his campaign and pledged to always place Nebraska agriculture first.
