Nebraska Cattlemen Association Taking Input From Members

Nebraska Cattlemen Association leaders have been traveling around the state this week meeting with members and getting input on a broad variety of issues. Director of Legislative Affairs Laura Field says topics range from taxes and animal health, to environmental and regulatory issues. She says they want to hear from members concerning recent beef imports and foot and mouth disease concerns.

She says they also want to talk with members about the ongoing burden from property taxes.

Field says their top environmental concern still centers on the proposed Waters of the U.S. rule from the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers.

Field says they’re also informing members about changes made to the state’s brand law and how it will affect them.
