Many Nebraskans are trying to recover from the record flooding that devastated parts of the state. Nebraska Cattlemen Association Executive Vice President Pete McClymont says they’ve put together a relief fund for cattle producers that can be accessed by going to their website and he’s encouraging donations.
State officials are estimating losses to Nebraska agriculture from flood damage at $1 billion. McClymont says that number will likely go up.
McClymont says the flooding is also increasing mental stress for producers, but here is help available.
McClymont says producers needing feed or hay can go to either the Nebraska State Agriculture Department or Nebraska Farm Bureau websites for more information.
