Wednesday the House Agriculture Committee is set to hold a hearing on supply chain issues. That problem is hitting cattle producers in Nebraska and around the nation as well as all sectors of the U.S economy. That’s according to Pete McClymont, Executive Vice President of the Nebraska Cattlemen Association. He says a major part of the problem is the lack of needed workers to keep that chain moving.
He’s hoping the Ag Committee will able to take some type of action to address this critical problem.
McClymont says the supply chain issue is hitting close to a home that’s devastated at least two businesses.
McClymont says a state law has hurt the supply chain as it’s negatively impacted ports getting product out.
McClymont says his group is actively working with Nebraska’s federal delegation on this supply chain problem as well as other issues that hit cattle producers directly.
