The Nebraska Catholic Conference says the issue over the Nebraska School Activities Association’s transgender student participation policy will not end.
The NSAA’s representative assembly failed to overturn the rule and put in a place a sex-at-birth policy.
Catholic Conference executive director Greg Schleppenbach says an original gender rule is fair.
NSAA executive director Jim Tenopir says any of the association’s bylaws are subject to change.
Tenopir says he cannot predict if or when another attempt to change the transgender policy will happen.
