Nebraska legislators will soon have to deal with helping counties replace thousands of aging bridges. The legislatures Transportation and Telecommunications Committee wrapped up a series of meetings across the state this week.
Committee Chair, Senator Annette Dubas of Fullerton says time is catching up with many of these bridges.
Dubas says counties can’t make these fixes on their own.
Dubas says the committee will make recommendations to the 2015 Unicameral. Dubas is term limited, and will not be able to follow up next year.
