Nebraska Beef Passport Follow Up

Throughout the summer, the Nebraska Beef Board coordinated the Beef Passport Program which promoted beef through more than 40 Nebraska restaurants.  Participants of the program would register with the Nebraska Beef Board then travel throughout the Cornhusker State and consume beef entrees at the various restaurants.  Nebraska Beef Board Marketing Director, Adam Wegner says the campaign was a big success for cattle producers, and for the participating restaurants.  Although Nebraskans are accustomed to eating beef, Wegner says this program shows a direct correlation with the consumption of beef.  Wegner says restaurant owners liked the program as it brought more customers to their businesses.  Wegner says hundreds of consumers shared their positive experiences on social media platforms which only led to additional consumers stopping at the various restaurants to try their beef entrees.  Wegner says consumers with printed passports need to mail their beef passports back to the Nebraska Beef Board by October 5th in order to qualify for various prizes.
