A lawsuit hopes to keep historic horse racing off the Nebraska ballot in November.
Gambling with the Good Life Executive Director, Pat Loontjer, contends the issue violates the state constitution’s requirement that voters decide only one subject at a time.
State legislators placed the issue on the ballot. It would allow betting on historic horse races at the state’s five licensed tracks.
Loontjer says there are several questions on the issue.
Supporters of the measure see it as vital to keeping horse racing viable in Nebraska.
