A trade team from Nebraska is in Europe this week promoting the state’s agricultural exports. State Ag Director Greg Ibach is leading the mission. At a stop in Germany, He says the Europeans are very interested in Nebraska raised beef and like the way it’s produced.
He says after leaving Germany, the trade team will be in Bulgaria where they hope to open more markets for Nebraska’s ag commodities.
That’s a $ 70,000 emerging markets program grant form USDA. Ibach says most of what the Bulgarians are interested in are soybeans and soybean meal.
Ibach says the trade group will also try and find out what both the Germans and Bulgarians would be interested in with other Nebraska ag products.
