Nebraska State Dairy Association members gather in Columbus February 18 for their annual convention. Chris Galen with the National Milk Producer Federation will give the keynote address. He’ll be talking about the public policy environment effecting the dairy industry this year.
He says there are many positive things happening in the dairy industry lately despite the low milk prices. Galen says for one the consumption of various dairy products is on the rise.
And Galen says saturated fat isn’t getting as much of a black eye as it once did, which will benefit the sale of many other dairy products.
The convention gets underway at the Ramada Inn at 8:30am.
