Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts agrees with a recent report issued by the Nebraska Farm Bureau that international trade is vitally important to the economic health of Nebraska agriculture.
Ricketts says he hasn’t read the report yet but says he has been in talks with the Trump Administration about the importance of trade to Nebraska. He says he is encouraged that a revised NAFTA has been signed and an agreement with South Korea has been reached. . .
Ricketts says resolving trade issues with China would create great opportunity for Nebraska producers.
Recently, the president has announced a 90-day ceasefire in the trade war with China, encouraging some that a trade deal might soon be reached.
