The Nebraska State FFA Convention is underway in Lincoln and attendance is on pace to set a new record. State FFA Vice President David Schuler says they’re expecting more than 4000 FFA members to attend, which is nearly 60-percent of the state’s membership. He attributes this to the work the Association has put into growing the number of chapters and attracting ag teachers to Nebraska.

He says the opportunities in careers related to agriculture, science and technology are also a driving force behind the growth in the state’s membership, as well as convention attendance.

FFA chapters and members from around the state will participate in Career Development and leadership events, receive awards and attend various sessions. The event is held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln.
