NE Cattlemen Say Lawmakers Have Time to Finish Priority Measures

The Nebraska Unicameral is getting close to ending the 2016 session and is running out of time to approve the State Cattlemen Association’s priority measures. Director of Legislative Affairs Laura Field says those include property tax relief and putting Right to Farm language into the state constitution.

She says there’s still enough time to get both of those priority measures approved although it won’t be easy.

Field says it’s not to the point where State Senators need to choose between the Right to Farm legislation and property tax relief.

The Nebraska legislature is scheduled to adjourn their 60 day session on April 20.
