NDSU Nips SDSU In Summit Showdown

Brayden Resch delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning, providing the winning margin for North Dakota State in a 4-2 victory over South Dakota State in Summit League baseball action Thursday night in Fargo.

With the win, the Bison kept their postseason tournament hopes alive in improving to 28-24 overall and 11-17 in The Summit League. SDSU dropped to 20-32 overall and 12-16 in league play.SDSU needs one win in the series to earn a spot in the league’s postseason tourney.

The Jackrabbits and Bison are scheduled to play the middle game of their three-game series at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
