NCGA Wants EPA To Use Sound Science On Atrazine Review

Members of the National Corn Growers Production and Stewardship Action team say the EPA is setting a dangerous precedent by not following scientific evidence that proves Atrazine is safe. Action team member and South Dakota corn grower Jim Burg says the agency needs to follow sound science when reviewing Atrazine.

He says it’s important growers follow label directions when using Atrazine and other herbicides.

All pesticides must be registered with the EPA and be re registered every 15 years. Burg agrees with that but feels there’s no doubt that Atrazine has been prove safe.

Atrazine is one of the most studied products in history with 50 years of data available.
